PROCESSES

1. Ordering
2. Billing + Tips to waiters
3. Inventory Management
4. Report Generation
5. Customer Feedback
6. Payroll

MANUAL SYSTEM

In the manual system, all the processes are done manually.

1. Waiter takes order
2. Cashier tracks billing
3. Verbal reports and bill accounts are provided
4. Customer feedback is taken in a register

DEPENDENCY
Manual system depends a lot on human factors.
It disregards the scope of error.
It is built entirely on concept of trust.

SEMI DIGITAL SYSTEM

With advent of technology, most restaurants have made the
following changes:
1. Billing is done on a computer.
2. Waiters carry an electronic device to take orders
3. Inventory database is managed by a specific person on a
computer excel sheet

PROPOSED SYSTEM
1. Billing should be automatically generated when the customer places an order
2. The order placed by customer on their table should be automatically sent to the
system in kitchen. No latency in order communication.
3. Billing information (cash/card etc) should be automatically noted.
4. Inventor management should coordinate with the ordering system.
5. When the inventory is getting drained, at a certain customized point, it should notify
of the status of inventory.
6. If inventory doesnt have items that are needed to cook a certain dish, those dishes
should be taken off the menu.
7. A complete summary of all the processes should be generated regularly and saved
for later reference.
8. It should be possible to take customer feedback digitally.
