Descriptions
The story conveys a dark and upsetting mood, of a lonely creature
driven by something that the readers do not know.
Setting.
The place is revealed on the cover, by the supposed National
Geographic, to be the darkest trench in the Atlantic. I chose the
Atlantic Ocean due to the thousands of ships that have passed
over it in human history, which shows how disconnected and
lonely the animal is.
The time is current day, which I revealed by calling the Kraken a
shocking discovery.
Final Reflection.
I chose to do the National Geographic because I wanted to use a
magazine cover, and to attempt to draw readers in with the least
amount of words possible. The story is about a Kraken who has
lived for millennia, and has been alone more than any of us have
been alive. The ecosystem its waste supports is the only thing
that drives it to live, as it needs no sustenance to survive. This
shows how there are those amoung us who are lonely and
depressed every day, even though they may be physically close to
others. It also shows how some of those people only continue
living because they feel obligated. If the reader can draw these
conclusions, they may be motivated to improve every persons
day.
