    cutting their hair to ear level. Before the roaring 20s all
    girls had long hair.

    Girls began to wear shorter dresses. These
    new dresses came to about the knee.
    They were very popular.

    Flappers were very rebellious. They
    did everything differently than
    before. They cut their hair, wore
    short dresses, and danced. They
    were a new type of woman.
