Five (5) principle of the Malaysian Asset Management Policy in Total Asset
Management Malaysia (TAMM) 2009 :
The need for better services delivery is the main focus towards any decision
making regarding the assets.
Asset planning and management should be integrated with the agencys
business and corporate planning, financial budgeting and reporting process.
Decision on asset management should be based on the alternative evaluation
taking into account asset life cycle costing, benefit and risk in owning an asset.
Ownership, controlling, accountability and standards of reporting must be
developed, implemented and clearly presented.
Asset management activities should be based on the Malaysian Total Asset
Management Policy.
