Spanish fashion photographer whose images often look more like
paintings than photographs - extremely stylish .

Biography
Javier Vallhonrat Was born in 1953 in Madrid
 His background is Spanish
 Javier Vallhonrat studied Painting at the Fine Arts of the University of Madrid in the early
70’s
 He graduated in 1972
 He went on to work as a photographer’s assistant until the early 80
 Beginning in 1982, Vallhonrat became a regular contributor to British, French and Italian
Vogue and The New York Times, among many others. In 1984, he began to work for several
key fashion designers
 In 1992 he broadened his interest in photography and began creating advertising films
while on the side teaching photography at the Cuenca School of Fine Arts (1997)
 Today, while continuing his contribution of photos for French Vogue, Italian Vogue,
Japanese Vogue, Mixte, Big, among others, Javier also teaches creative photography in
various universities in Spain. Javier Vallhonrat resides in Madrid; his personal work can be
regularly seen in expositions all over the world.
 Vallhonrat has won numerous prizes for his work, including the Silver Award from The New
York Times Magazine and the seventy-sixth annual American Art Director’s Club Awards.
