Nick was
our
Star Student
this week. He
likes football,
playing with his
friends and
family, and
cookies.

Classroom News
This past week the class conquered
a lot of challenging tasks. To begin,
the class finished Four Corner
Reading, which consisted of the
students reading out loud an
approved book in a small group
setting. In relation, the students
worked on their listening skills and
their ability to show respect to
their classmates. Further, the
students took their very first Math
test on Thursday! In Writing the
students worked on simple,
compound, and complex
sentences, and in Grammar the
students learned about irregular
verbs. Lastly, we had a mystery
reader come into our class to share
with us some of Jiselles favorite
stories from home. I am very
pleased with the progress the class
has been making!

Halloween Party!
Third grade parties will begin at
approx. 2:00 on Friday, October 28th.
For parents who have registered with
the office previously, please let your
homeroom teacher know if you will be
joining their party, so badges can be
preprinted for you. If you have not yet
been to the classroom during school
hours, you will need to provide the
office with a picture ID before entering
the school.
Children will be able to change into
their costumes before the party.
Please be sure that they can manage
changing in their classroom, as our
bathroom is not big enough for 210
children to use at once.
Costume rules include:
No blood
No violence
No aerosol cans
No makeup to be applied at school
