The Product is a normal leading brand paper plate.
The the claim is to show that the plates have a soak proof
shields.
The question is does paper plates have soak proof shields?
The hypothesis is that the paper plates do have a soak proof
shield.

Variables, Materials:
Materials list:
4 regular brand paper
plates
4 small Measuring cup
Kool-aid pitcher
Room temperature water
Bounty paper towels
Timer

Variables:
Independent variable:
The water being put on
the plate.
Dependent variable: To
see if the water will
soak through the
plate.
Constants: The amount
of water.

Procedure:
Step 1: Gather all your
materials.
Step 2: Place 4 paper towels
on the table, 4
measurement cups.
Step 3: Place 4 plates on
each paper towel slowly.
Step 4: slowly put a 100mls
of water on all 4 paper at
the same time.
Step 5 Leave the water on

Step 6: after 20 min slide

the plates slowly of the
paper towels. Then
slowly pour the water
onto a bucket.
Step 7: Look and examine
the bottom of the plates
and the paper and the
paper towels.
Step 8: record if it soak
proof shield or not.

Conclusion:
The experiment proved that regular paper
plates does not have a soak proof shield.
During the experiment the bottom of the
paper plates did not stay dry ,the plates
actually became moist. When you feel the
bottom of the plates you could tell that some
of the water went through the plate because
the color of the plate changed a little and
you could feel that the plate was a little wet.
