Classroom News
Another successful week has passed as
the students dove right in to new
content areas. In Reading students
learned more about informational texts,
as they discussed the purpose of the
local government. In Math students
reviewed how to tell time to the minute
and developed skills to master elapsed
time problems. In Social Studies the
students learned about different land
features, natural resources, natural
hazards, and the climate. In Writing the
students wrote about what it would be
like to be President. In relation, the
students then voted on the new
President in the Library so that Big
Hollow would have an opportunity to
see how Election day worked. Moreover,
we ended our week with a PBIS
assembly in which Cameron and
Madeline had an opportunity to
participate in the assembly and Braidon
won a t-shirt! I am looking forward to
meeting with all of you next week!
Sincerely,
Ms. Ward
