Interpreting

So, what is
interpreting?

Interpreting is an oral

translation of a text,
without writing.

You listen to someone

speaking one
language and then
you speak it to
another person in a
different language.

Interpreting is

important in practical
work and often times
you will not have
access to tools like
the internet or a
dictionary.

Two-Way Translation
You will act as an

interpreter between
two people speaking
casually.
It is the most relaxed
and informal form of
interpreting.
Requires great
listening skills,
familiarity with spoken
English (including
slang) and sensitivity
to non-verbal body
language.
