The song that I have chosen to base my music video around is

Funhouse by P!NK. Some components of the music video:

.Performance based music video with possibly some narrative
I have chosen this song specifically because I think that the lyrics
convey a strong message and I feel that they can be represented
in a number of different scenarios.
I also want to have a mix of these scenarios following a narrative
and maybe some live performance of the song.

.My brother is the protagonist and I have chosen
this because it will be easy to get a hold of him an
he will be readily available for filming.
.I am unsure if I want to include other actors or
rather use my camera and editing skills to suggest
or give the illusion that the protagonist is being
followed. If I do choose to use other actors they will
be my brothers friends and I will probably only ask
about 3 to play anonymous characters or ghosts
to follow the protagonist.

.I want to film at various different locations mostly at my house in the
garden and by an alley at the side of my house.
.I also want to experiment filming at a fairground or a carnival at night
with all the bright lights because I think it will be a good aesthetic.
.I also want to film at a dark tunnel by Burnham Station because I think
it will give a creepy element that is needed to develop my narrative.
.I also want to film at a forest with rays of sunlight filtering into the
camera to give another good aesthetic.

These are my influences because there are components from these
music videos such as bright colours, loose narratives, heavy editing
and hallucinogenic and psychedelic feeling which I want to be a core
theme to my music video and so it was useful for me to research
different ways that I could have shown this in my music video.

However, I also am thinking of a different song to base my music video on. This
song style is very different from my first option with very deep bass and low tones
and the song itself is quite slow paced. Some components of the music video:
.RnB
.Consistent beat
.Heavy narrative with almost no lip-syncing
.Dark music video with blue filters

I have chosen this song specifically because I think that the lyrics convey a strong
message and I feel that they can be represented in a number of different
scenarios.
I also want to have a mix of these scenarios following a narrative and maybe some
live performance of the song.

However, I also am thinking of a different song to
base my music video on. This song style is
different from my others options as this song is
from his album Acid Rap. The style of music is
detailed in my semiotic analysis and something
that caught my attention.
While there is no music video for Same Drugs I
liked the theme that Chance the Rapper uses in
another music video of his called Sunday
Candy.

I like the style that both of these music videos use

and how they incorporate memories like a
slideshow into their music videos. This is a style
that is something I want to copy in my music
video if I decide to use this song for my
coursework.
