Reflections
Honestly this book was bad, I didn't enjoy
the structure of the book at all and the
storys didnt lure me in that much. But I
did learn a few things. Like watch out for
your real friends and dont let anything
hold you down from your goals

Character Analysis
Esperanza: Main character.A somewhat
of a shy girl, tells a lot of stories.Has
three friends, one brother and two sisters

Themes
The major themes in the story was
independance and growing u.Esperanza
wants to leave the house on mango
street and be free from a life than many
of her female relatives and friends have

Motifs and Symbols

Some of the major symbols from the
story were Lucy and Rachel, her two
friends that she meets on mango street.
Lucy and Rachel are immature and goofy.
I believe that these two represent the
childish side of Esperanza, while Sally, a
pretty girl who boys fawn over represents
the mature, adult side of Esperanza.
