YOUNG WORKERS
Young people between 15 and 24 years are particularly
vulnerable to work-related injuries and have more risk to
injury.

According to WorkSafeBC, young workers, particularly young


male workers, are at a much higher risk of injury than other
workers.

WORK SAFE BC
Work safe BC- Young workers generally have less experience in
recognizing hazardous situations than older workers. Many
are also eager to please and afraid theyll look dumb if they
ask questions, so they take risks that could be avoided.

WORKPLACE
Workers of all ages can be injured at work, but young and new
workers may be more at risk. Injuries can result from
inadequate training, orientation, and supervision;
inexperience; and lack of awareness of workplace rights and
responsibilities
