Introduction
ICT stand for Information and Communication Technologies.
Required for information processing, in particular, the use of
electronic computers, communication devices and software
application to convert, store, protect, process, transmit and
retrieve information from anywhere, anytime.

The Importance of ICT in

teaching and Learning
Schools with sufficient ICT resources achieved better results
than those that are not well-equipped.
Teachers become more convinced that educational
achievements of pupils are due to good ICT use.
ICT tools very helpful in that it helps them to do assignments.
ICT has significant impact on teachers and teaching processes.
ICT also help teachers to work in teams and share ideas related
to schools curriculum.

Issues and Challenges in

Some student and teacher are not interested in ICT

Method to Overcome the Issues

Offer a high profit for the technician
Teacher must attend the ICT course
Provide skilled teachers in ICT
Tighten the security around the computer lab or access centre
Monitor the condition of the ICT equipment regularly and replace
the broken equipment.
Parents should guide and monitor their children activities when
using ICT
Parents should provide ICT equipment at home.

Product of MSC
Education is more interesting with using ICT in teaching.
Produce individuals which can use ICT equipment to make their
task easier.
The number of stakeholders increased.
