sexually assaulted by her
step-father while speaking.

+
Student info.

Client has had previous interactions with the school

social worker, nurse, and SRO officer. Student has been
using outside sources for counseling and additional
therapy.

Student has a 504 accommodation plan due to her

panic attacks and identified kidney disorder.

+
biases
What are some biases you had going into the interview?

After logging into power school viewing the students

behavior history I was concerned that

At the start of the interview the client seemed hesitant

to disclose information regarding her most recent
negative encounter with her step father. She was very
emotional and I did not think that the student would
open up, and if she did then should would not tell
everything that had been going on with her.

events
What events or life experiences have shaped them into the person they are?

Student

had several behavior issues in middle school. She sent several

months in foster care after aggressive behavior towards her mother. The
relationship with her step father was great until she was removed from the
home and placed in foster care. Student stated that she enjoys smoking weed
and it also helps with her panic/anxiety attacks.

The

client was recently sexually assaulted in her sleep by her step-father. She
has recently become distant in her family and is also skipping class with
friends. After disclosing the information she stated this has not been the first
offensive, and she has not spoken to her mom because she is scared that
mom will not believe her and she will be placed in foster care. She also stated
she has not been to her mandatory counseling sessions since May.

+
recommendations
What is the staff recommendation about diagnosis,
Interventions or treatment?

The very first thing we did was contact the school SRO
(School Resource Officer) to write a statement.

Contact local DSS to make a report on behalf of the

student.

+
diagnosis

What does research say on their

diagnosis/problem/treatment?

Treatment: counseling at school until

+
change

What changes do recommend for the agency or service

(Needs of agency, changes, and rights issues)? Report
those to supervisor.

An on site crisis counselor would be a great resource

for students.
