Accessing Library Databases

 Go to the Library Homepage (http://library.pace.edu)


 Under Quick Links, Click on Databases: Find an
Article
 For Remote Access:
 Login with your MyPace username/password

 Comprehensive psychology database includes
citations to journal articles, books, articles (chapters)
in books, dissertations
 Limit to peer-reviewed journals
 Times cited in this database can help you determine
the quality of an article
 Cited References may give you additional relevant
materials
 Links to selected full text
 Use to find full text when not immediately
available
Refining your search

 Use the Narrow Results by Subject links to


find suggestions for keywords
 Look at the Subject headings of relevant articles
in your results to help you rephrase your search
 Also look at the list of Keywords
 Try the Thesaurus if this doesn’t work
How do I find the full text?
Click on to launch a pop-up window that will
display your best options for retrieving the article.

 a link to full-text in another database (when available)

 a link to holdings in the Pace Library catalog for print or


microfilm (when available)
 a link to create a request for the article via ILLIad
