At a CAGR of 18.9%, the primary sector has been the fastest growing sector among
others from 2004-05 to 2011-12. The tertiary sector expanded at a CAGR of 16.3%
between 2004-05 and 2011-12. Growth was driven by trade, hotels, real estate, finance,
insurance, transport, communications and other services sectors. The secondary sector
increased at a CAGR of 16.8 % between 2004-05 and 2011-12. Growth was led by
manufacturing, construction and electricity, and gas & water supply sectors.
