MACBETH
Doctor : You may to me: and 'tis most meet you should.
This is the part where Macbeth already went to war and Lady Macbeth
is left on her own.
The Doctor admires her ability to sleep and being able to watch at the
same time.
The Gentle- Woman refuses to repeat what she heard Lady Macbeth say.
Why is that?
-Fear of being murdered
having no witness to
confirm my speech.
- she doesnt want to talk badly of the Queen
In this part Lady Macbeths title is saving her from being accused for
murder but as we can see later in the play her consience is giving her
away (Yet who would have thought the old man to have had so much
blood in him.)
Two meanings :
1.) She is sleepwalking
2.) Description of her personality:
- she had a normal life in which a lot of people would be
perfectly happy but she always wanted more. She couldnt
*see* the limit of what was enough for her to be happy
because her sense is shut.
