Healthy Families is an organization in
Douglas County that can help families
deal with the stress of having a new baby.
They offer support and guidance to at risk
families.

TINYK
The Part C organization for early intervention
in Douglas County Kansas. The staff of 10
includes specialists such as ESCE teachers, a
social worker, physical therapist, occupational
therapist, speech-language pathologist, and a
dietician.

This is a great book that discusses intervention
strategies that can be used in every day life. A great
resource for parents and caregivers.

SIGN LANGUAGE
A family friendly video to learn
basic playtime signs for infants
and toddlers. Includes an option
to view in Spanish. This is a great
resource for Spanish language
families.

THE COACHING MODEL

The Pyramid Model for promoting social and
emotional competence and addressing
challenging behaviors. Great tool for
professional development in early childhood
organizations.
