Concept of Smart school created by Ministry of
Education in the early year of 1996

Launched on July 1997 as one of the Multimedia


Super Corridors Flagship Applications
Objective: To achieve the goals that have been
set by National Educational Philosophy
Provides opportunities for children to develop
their thinking skills to be more creative and
productive

Obtaining sufficient
equipment
Future smart school plans might be
affected
Cost of acquiring hi-tech devices
rising
Students cannot afford
Government bancrupt
Survey price before purchasing

Teachers lack of knowledge and


skills

Lack of appropriate and quality training


Old teachers are comfortable with the
traditional teaching method
Time management problem
Technician problems
Make the training programme
compulsory for every teacher
Integrate the use of ICT into classroom
activities
Augment skills regularly

LACKS OF INFRASTUCTURE & TEACHING


MATEERIALS
The provision of a complete computer
infrastructure for the teaching and learning
methods.
ICT facilities were not satisfactory.
Power shortage was a problem as well, but
largely in rural areas.
Determine the level of ICT infrastructure capacity
available in their schools.
Make sure the computer facilities are not limited.
We need to explored more on innovative methods
to achieve the targeted budget.

Learners attitude
Excellent performance in curricular
and co-curricular activities
Some students face problem in coping
up
Rushed lessons and the weak ones are
deprived
Teachers should classify students
Teachers must be ready to treat
equally

CONCLUSION
Cooperation from all Malaysian whether
students, teachers and parents need to achieve
the objective of Smart School.
Implementing more smart schools in our
country can improvise the impression of foreign
countries on us.
Always look up to smart schools around.
We should all stop complaining and think
better to solve and overcome the challenges.
