Resource of Wonder

By:Ife Ajayi

Sciencemag.org
My source is sciencemag.org

Summary
The resource I have chose to do is sciencemag.org. This source
provides information about news topics surrounded by science. It also
provides more information with their journals (Science). Its topic
varies in many different things. From Cancer to the changing arctic
to even Gravitational waves! The last thing that it discusses are
careers like the rising power in science in South China. This site was
created by the same people who created the SCIENCE magazine
which is the American Association for the Advancement of
Science(AAAS).

3 Things I learned
1 thing I learned is that there is this new discovery of an ancient pot
that shows the oldest evidence of people cooking plants. People that
were living in the Northern part of Africa just after the end of the last
ice age were cooking plants.
The second thing I learned is a long time ago it looked like vaccines
and antibiotics would get rid of infectious diseases completely. But
ecological disturbances, travel and trades, constant changing climate,
and the failures in some public health systems proves otherwise.

3 things I learned continued...

The last thing that I learned is that a very new study shows that the
structure of a woman's brain can change a whole lot during their first
pregnancies, in such ways that can even last for 2 years.

Why I chose this Source

To find this source I didnt actually look up the topic that I was curious
about. Instead I looked up online great science websites and
Sciencemag came up. Then thats when I found my topic. My topic
was infectious diseases. The reason for that is because ive been
learning it and I was really interested in the topic.
