AUTOMATION
As told earlier following features will be added in home automation:
1.

Automatic Gate

2.

Automatic lights

3.

Automatic fan

4.

Automatic motor

Rain detector

AUTOMATIC GATE
For the automation of gate we will use GSM module along with

Arduino.

Gsm module will receive message and will pass on to the

Arduino for further processing.

We will use motor drive IC to drive the motor of the gate.

Lcd will also e installed to show the current status of the gate .

AUTOMATIC LIGHT AND FAN

AUTOMATIC MOTOR
For the automation of motor we will use float switch which will

be indicating the level of the tank.

When the float switch indicates the highest position of the

tank, the relay attached with is used for the operation of the
motor will stop working.

Hence stopping the motor from operating.

GSM MODULE
A GSM modem is a specialized type of modem which accepts a

SIM card, and operates over a subscription to a mobile

operator, just like a mobile phone. From the mobile operator
perspective, a GSM modem looks just like a mobile phone.

When a GSM modem is connected to a computer, this allows

the computer to use the GSM modem to communicate over

the mobile network.

While these GSM modems are most frequently used to provide

mobile internet connectivity, many of them can also be used

for sending and receiving SMS and MMS messages.

FLOAT SWITCH
A direct method of monitoring the level of liquid in a vessel is

by monitoring the movement of a float.

The displacement of the float causes a level arm to rotate and

so move a slider across a potentiometer

RAIN DETECTION
A rain sensor module will be used for the detection of rain.
It is a strip and is interfaced with the Arduino. According to the

programming the serial monitor will indicate whether it is

raining or not.

A IC LM393 will be used with the module.
