Ionic liquids (ILs) are a relatively new class of compounds
characterized by high conductivity, extremely low vapor
pressures, low viscosity, low toxicity, non flammability, high
thermal stability, wide electrochemical window and being liquid
in a wide range of temperatures
These properties make such compounds ideal media for the
electro reduction , at room or close to room temperature, of
highly electropositive metals which cannot be electrodeposited
from aqueous media. (Abbot et al.,2001)

RESULT AND DISCUSSION

The more the concentration of AlCl3 resulted the

more Al3+ ions dissolved in the electrolyte
solution. However, this leads to less powerful
current

This is possible because Increased

anode concentration polarization
ultimately results in the evolution of
oxygen which reacts with the
electrode to produce oxide insulating
films increasing
the

resistance.

A. Electroplating is done in carbonsteel coated by
nickel as cathode. this electroplating is done in
temperature 50-60 degree celcius for 10 minutes.
