ASTRONOMY is a branch of

science that deals with the study of


the different celestial bodies in the
Universe.
*Astronomers- a person/scientist who study
about astronomy (stars and other heavenly
bodies)
*Instrument/equipment-a tool/device used
by astronomers to collect information about
stars and other heavenly bodies.
Instruments/Equipments used by Astronomers
* An instrument/equipment used by astronomers are usually kept/housed by a large
building with dome-shaped roofing called OBSERVATORY.

a. Radio Telescope- is a special telescope which can
