3 INTRODUCTION

Nowadays, the world knows a lot of crises among

which we have the rise in unemployment!
What is unemployment?
Unemployment is the state of being unemployed
especially involuntarily, the state of having no job
when you have the abilities to work.
4

INTRODUCE THE SITUATION

5

Especially in Morocco, unemployment knows also a huge growth.

According to the last survey of the Haut Commissariat au Plan (HCP) of
November 5th, 2015. the number of unemployed people increased to 5,8% in
a year.
Morocco has actually an unemployment rate of 10,1% which is very high
when we consider that last year it was 9,1%.

SOME CAUSES
7

After seeing this unemployment rate, we could look for some

causes.
Indeed, we could notice three big domain of causes:
Economics causes
Demographics causes
Politics causes
8 ECONOMICS CAUSES

The technical progress allows the substitution of people by

machines. It is the robotization
Companies are always looking for the rentability of work And for this
rentability they prefer to use machines, technological ways than people.
The economic crises
The financial crisis of 2008 reduced economic activities: the purchasing
power, less consumption, a lot of termination
9 DEMOGRAPHICS CAUSES

The rapid growth of active people and the development of

womens work.
Active population is rising beyond the economys capacity to create
jobs.
Inadequacy between recruitment and applicants.
Sometimes companies want to recruits but the postulants dont have
good abilities or qualifications for the job or companies offer lower
salaries than average for the applicants. The applicants also dont want
to move, to change the city into companies who recruits.
10 POLITICS CAUSES

Joblessness is also a structural problem.

The state made some political decisions to create jobs but the
problem is that the demand is bigger than the offer.
We notice a mismanagement to improve enough the offer to get
a big decrease in the demand.
Indeed, there is insufficient decent job creation in the private
sector.
The inadequate supply of skills by the education system is also a
major hindrance to youth accessing the labour market.
11

SOME CONSEQUENCES
12

Like consequences we can notice:

The loss of human capital associated with the under-
utilisation of human resources;
The fall in purchasing power;
The deterioration of living standards;
The evolution of poverty;
Feelings of exclusion by society (Social inequality);
The development of black market;
The evolution of insecurity
13

SOME SOLUTIONS
14

To solve the problem of the rising in unemployment, we could have like

solutions:
The government needs to apply politics of generating jobs in
proportion to the growing youth population;
The government should make a significant effort, they have to be
invested to give youth an opportunity to find jobs. These effort
includes:
Restructuring of the education system to improve basics skills;
The development and implementation of youth entrepreneurship programs
and innovative;
The government could reduce taxes for allowing foreign
investigation;
Businesses should help schools and training institutes adjust their
curricula to the constantly changing needs of economy.
15

CONCLUSION

All in all, there are a high skilled people who still suffer a lot. the
government should work hand in hand in order to solve the problem to this
phenomena
