The Initial Flush of Enthusiasm
As soon as Jindal was made the CEO of ZEE, he:

Call for a review of the past in order to plan for the future
Conducted a top management workshop by asking questions
like: What business are we in? Were they in cable distribution
business? Or in the business of creating programmes and
software? Or was their main business the studio and hardware
business?
Zee was into media business
Zee concluded that currency of importance is airtime- a non-
entertainment programme would ensure no advertising and
would also lose viewership and would leave the slot vacant.
In the end, Jindal changed the mission statement
23rd January 2017
Resignation, finger-pointing and
despair
25% of senior management resigned within 6 months of Mr. Jindals
joining
High profile people like Nitin Keni, Arvind Pandey, Rajat Sharma all left
Statements from some high profile leavers made it difficult for those
who chose to stay
Zee looked to hire solid performers who were professionally ambitious
and had no aspiration to star in the glamour world of media.
They looked for people who came from blue-chip companies and had
earthly common sense
Mr. Jindal wanted to bring in corporate culture in Zee
