The document discusses questions about survival on a deserted island:
1) Having a leader would increase chances of survival by enforcing rules to ensure everyone has food, shelter, and works safely.
2) The group would choose a leader by voting for the most mature, educated candidate to properly instruct and manage the group.
3) Proposed rules include assigning daily work schedules and groups responsible for tasks like food/water collection and shelter to help everyone survive.

By: Cienna Olokesusi WOULD HAVING A LEADER INCREASE OR DECREASE YOUR CHANCES OF SURVIVAL?
Having a leader would increase chances
because if rules are enforced then you would know how to survive. The leader could be able to make sure everyone has food and shelter. With a leader people would be able to manage their time and work safely. HOW MIGHT THE GROUP CHOOSE A LEADER?
The group will choose a leader by voting.
The leader must be mature enough to take the title of being a leader. The leader must be educated on politics before taking the title. With uneducated leader, people might not be able to manage their time wisely without proper instructions. WHAT RULES WOULD HELP EVERYONE SURVIVE? The rules that will be enforced include: Everyone must work 3-4 hours each day 1 group is in charge of collecting water and food for everyone Another group is in charge of collecting supplies for shelter Everyone eat dinner together at 6pm and breakfast at 10am Lunch time depends on your working schedule HOW WOULD YOU DEAL WITH CONFLICT BETWEEN THOSE WHO WANT TO UPHOLD THE RULES AND THOSE WHO THINK THE RULES SHOULD BE CHANGED OR ELIMINATED?
In this situation, that voice will be heard
and there will be a compromise. If the rule is not valid enough to be enforced then the rule will not be placed. For those who disagree or act negative towards the rules enforced, then thou would be placed with extra work hours or severe punishment. HOW DID YOUR VALUES AFFECT YOUR RESPONSES TO THE FIRST THREE QUESTIONS? My values are not to hurt people, so the rules that are given seem reasonable. It's better to have good role models and leaders in place because that keeps people in their place and makes everything manageable. As for punishment, none of the punishments lead to death or severe pain. As for that, punishments are valid.
