LSWF: Transactions LAB-1, LAB-2 and LAB-3:
Request = Placer Group Number Battery Placer & Filler Order Numbers

The physician places a lab request. Order Placer allocates Order Filler allocates
The Order Placer allocates the an Identifier to each an Identifier to each
unique Id 123 to this request ordered battery accepted battery
consisting of: Placer Order Number Filler Order Number
(ordered battery) (accepted battery)
a CBC (complete blood count) 12345 F101
a creatinine clearance 12346 F102

Laboratory request 123 ordered battery 12345 accepted battery F101

LSWF: Transactions LAB-4 and LAB-5:
The Order Filler builds its Work Order identifiers according to its own business
rules, and propagates the lab request identifier to the Automation Manager.

The Order Filler places a Work Order for the CBC to the Automation
Manager. It uses its accepted battery number F101 to identify the Work
Order, and propagates the request id 123 into the Placer Group Number:
OBR-2 = F101 (Work Order Identifier)
ORC-4 = 123 (Lab Request Identifier)

The Order Filler places two Work Orders for the creatinine clearance, one
for the serum creatinine, identified F1021 and one for the urine
creatinine, identified F1022:
Work Order for serum creatinine: ORC-4 = 123, OBR-2 = F1021
Work Order for urine creatinine: ORC-4 = 123, OBR-2 = F1022
LDA: Transactions LAB-21 to LAB-26:
The Automation Manager builds its WOS identifiers according to its own
business rules, and propagates the lab request identifier to the Automation
Manager.

The Automation Manager sends an Analytical Work Order Step to the

chemistry analyzer for the serum creatinine. It uses its Work Under
number F1021 to identify the Work Order, and appends a suffix to identify
the step. The request id 123 is propagated to the analyzer in the Placer
Group Number:
OBR-2 = F1021-1 (AWOS Identifier)
ORC-4 = 123 (Lab Request Identifier)
