What Is Comparative Degree?

Comparative Degree is used to make a comparison between


two things.
Forming Comparative Degree

To be + Adjective + -ER + Than

OR

To be + More + Adjective + Than


Rules to Make Comparative Form
1. The adjective which consist of one-syllable, add -ER in the
end of the word.
Example:
Tall + ER

2. The adjective which consist of one-syllable with final -E, just add
-R in the end of word.
Example:

Large + R

single consonant with a vowel before it (Consonant Vowel
