Site situation without any alarms and not connect to
transmission
Site situation without any alarms and not connect to tran
smission but transmission is not ready
site with FCE alarm
Suggestion:
Step 1:Check the is the FCE cable if the configuration is cons
istent with the cable connection on site (The FCE cable shoul
d be connect to the correct RSU if the FCE is configured as F
CE(2,1,7) means is the 1st RSU, if it is configured as FCE(3,1,
7) means is the 2nd RSU )
Step 2 Replace the FCE cable , If alarm clear exit , i
f no go to the next step

Setp3 Replace the FCE board , If alarm clear exit

fiber connection problem alarm on
FS and RSU at the same time
Step 1: check the connection cable the RX of FS board
should be connect to the TX of RSU board and so on
Step 2 check the fiber quality
Check procedure: make a loop on the SFP port of FS us
ing the fiber cable on by on, and check the alarm on th
e looped port , is the alarm cleard on this port e fiber i
s good is no the fiber cable is broken
Action: replace the damaged Fiber cable
(the loop should be keep less than 2 minutes )
Step 3 check the fiber port (SFP)
Check procedure: put the 4 SFP board one by one in t
he port 0 of the FS board and make a loop with the fi
ber cable(good one),the alarm on the port 0 should be
cleared is not the SFP port is damaged
Action: replace the SFP port
There is cross connection between the 2 RSU. Reverse
the fiber in the FS board between port 0 and port 1

RET calibration
RET PROBLEM

Description :
There is a mismatch between the real value of RET on sit
e and the scan value on RNC
Cause:
the RET was modified on site manually and not using the
adequate tools antenna controller
Solution:
Recalibrate all the RET value with RNC
Needs :
site engineer and RNC engineer with high collaboration
Procedure for Andrew anten
na
1. Get the information of SN of RET for each band (GSM
,DCS and 3G) of antenna for each Sector and the tilt v
alue (site work)
2. Configure the RET on RNC side and set all the value t
o 0 (RNC work)
3. Remove the RET and set the tilt to 0 manually and rei
nstall the RET (site work)
4. test the RET by moving the tilt up and down (RNC sid
e)
5. Check if the RET is moving and the value is the same i
n both side
6. Change back the value of the tilt to the initial value o
n site (RNC work)
7. Check if the RET is set back to initial value (site work)
Procedure for ARGUS antenna
1. Get the information of SN of antenna for
each Sector and the tilt value (site
work)
2. test the RET by moving the tilt up and
down (RNC side)
3. Check if the RET is moving and the
value is the same in both side
4. Change back the value of the tilt to the
initial value on site (RNC work)
5. Check if the RET is set back to initial
value (site work)
TMA proble
m
Since the 2 TMA of sector 2 and 3 are connected to
the same RSU 82 we can not distinguish between t
he 2 TMA when scanning them from
for this reason the SN should be taken on site so
we can configure the TMA correctly
