Engaging with clients through services such as goal planning and


attending W.A.V.E classes

W.A.V.E classes are held every Wednesdayat 10 and at 5:30, going


through a lesson with clients revolving around domestic violence
APPLY KNOWLEDGE OF HUMAN BEHAVIOR AND THE SOCIAL ENVIRONMENT,
PERSON-IN-ENVIRONMENT, AND OTHER MULTIDISCIPLINARY THEORETICAL
FRAMEWORKS IN INTERVENTIONS WITH CLIENTS

Apply Knowledge through engaging in W.A.V.E class

Apply Knowledge through constructing a support group for clients at the


shelter using art therapy
USE INTER-PROFESSIONAL COLLABORATION AS
APPROPRIATE TO ACHIEVE BENEFICIAL PRACTICE
OUTCOMES

Engaging in practice with the practice coordinator, night shelter


supervisor, and other interns to reach client goals

Collaborating with shelter coordinator to select resources for clients

Collaborating with the other intern to conduct support group using art
therapy
NEGOTIATE, MEDIATE, AND ADVOCATE WITH
AND ON BEHALF OF DIVERSE CLIENTS

Advocate for clients in a court setting, including diverse clients of all


ages, race, and etc.

Clients can file for a protective order and court dates are set for Fridays to
have hearings to decide the result of the protective order, both sides can
have the chance to present their sides and the court advocate is there to
support our clients

Review goal plan with client to see the progress made before exiting

Creating a goal plan with clients focusing on short-term and long-term


goals

Have discussions with clients to see theprogress they are makingon


meeting their goals while staying at the shelter
