The family circle and the family genogram
are two family assessment tools
The family circle provides information
about current relationship and may require
updating from time to time, particularly
during life transitional or when serious
illness occurs

Asssessment of Families
The family circle illustrates the patients
perspective of the family and his or her social
network.
The patient is asked to draw a large circle and then
add smaller circles or other symbols to represent
himself or herself and personally important people
Each symbol represents a specific person and
should be identified
The location of the symbols within the circle
represents the patients perception of the
relationship

to the family physician, who asks clarifying

The Family Genogram
(Genogram Keluarga)
A. Family Tree (Pohon Keluarga):
- 3 Generasi atau lebih (huruf Romawi)
- Kelahiran pertama dari setiap generasi
terletak di paling kiri kemudian diikuti
kelahiran berikutnya di sebelah kanan.
- Nama keluarga di bagian atas
- Nama dan umur di bagian bawah setiap simbol
- Pasien diidentifikasi dengan tanda panah
- Mencantumkan tanggal pembuatan diagram
B. Manfaat:
- Mencatat nama dan peran setiap anggota
keluarga
- Memisahkan keluarga besar dalam
beberapa generasi
- Mencatat masalah2 kesehatan setiap
anggota keluarga
- Mencatat tanggal2 penting dalam sejarah
keluarga
- Memberi informasi yang lengkap dan mudah
sebuah keluarga
