INTRODUCTION:
Due to the popularity of digital devices and the rise of social network/photo sharing
services (e.g., Facebook, Flickr), there are largely growing consumer photos available in our
life.
Among all those photos, a big percentage of them are photos with human faces (estimated
more than 60%). The importance and the sheer amount of human face photos make
manipulations (e.g., search and mining) of large-scale human face images a really
important research problem and enable many real world applications .
Our goal in this paper is to address one of the important and challenging problems large-
scale content-based face image retrieval.
Given a query face image, content-based face image retrieval tries to nd similar face
images from a large image database. It is an enabling technology for many applications
including automatic face annotation , crime investigation etc.
Traditional methods for face image retrieval usually use low-level features to represent
faces but low-level features are lack of semantic meanings and face images usually have
high intra-class variance (e.g., expression, posing), so the retrieval results are
unsatisfactory .
Objective:
The objective of my project is to use attribute enhanced sparse coding and
attribute inverted indexing to improve face retrieval in both offline and online
stages.
This can be achieved by combining both low level and high level features and
by employing expressible visual attributes for face verication and image
search.
EXISTING SYSTEM:
In Existing system they provided a replacement perspective on content based
mostly face image retrieval by incorporating high-level human attributes into
face image illustration and index structure. The face pictures of various
individuals may well be terribly advancing the low level feature area.
By combining low level options with high-level human attributes they are
ready to realize higher feature representations and come through higher
retrieval result . So they mix mechanically detected high-level human
attributes and low level options to construct linguistics code words which are
unable to provide satisfactory results.
Disadvantages:
For the big dataset this produces less accuracy result.
Current ways treat all attributes as equal that the potency is reduced.
This is not dynamically decide the importance of the attributes.
Due to high intra-class variance(e.g., expression , posing) the retrieval results
are unsatisfactory.
Proposed System:
To unravel this drawbacks in planned work with Attribute-enhanced distributed
committal to writing, we have a tendency to introduce the employment of
expressible visual attributes for face verication and image search. Expressible
visual attributes are labels which will run to a picture to explain its look. This
paper focuses on pictures of faces and also attributes accustomed describe
them though the ideas conjointly apply to different domains. Samples of face
attributes embrace gender, age, jaw shape, noise size, etc.

Advantages:
This attributes do higher within the high detection rate
The call in error rates from machine to human labels is really increasing with
additional attributes.
Adding additional attributes improves accuracies of result.
