Making a Wind Vane

You need:

A marker
Ruler
Scissors
 You need:
Two straws
Manila paper
Two paperclips
Two stickpins
Paper plate
Six pieces of tape
 Step One
Draw an
arrowhead
that is about
2 cm wide and
4 cm high
Cut it out
 Step Two
Put the large end of
a paperclip halfway
onto the bottom of
the arrow
Put the shorter end
of the paper clip
into the shorter
end of the straw
 Step Three
Draw a
square that
is about 8 cm
long on each
side
Cut it out
 Step Four
Put the large end
of a paperclip
halfway onto the
bottom of the
square
Put the shorter
end of the paper
clip into the straw
 Step Five
With a ruler,
draw two lines on
the paper plate
Label the end of
the lines N,
E, S, and W
in the correct
positions
 Step Six
Insert the
second straw
into the hole in
the paper plate
Tape in place
 Step Seven
Insert two stick
pins into the first
straw
Place pins inside
the second straw
 Step 8
Put the pins in the straw that is standing.
You are done!
