THE BASICS OF TARIFF
-What are tariffs?
Tariff is a tax on either exportation or importation of
goods.
In the Philippines, tariffs are mainly associated with
customs duties on imports as the government rarely
imposes them on exports.

-Rates of Import Duty (MFN)
Customs duty rates range from 0%-50%, depending on the
tariff classification.
These rates are called regular rates or the Most-
Favored Nation (MFN) rates.
These are the rates under Section 104 of TCCP

Under existing Free-Trade Agreements (FTAs), members
are entitled to avail lower customs duty rates, as agreed
upon.
