Introduction:
The topic our group researched was: Do Jobs & Sports Affect
Grades? The questions our group asked in our survey were,
1. What grade are you in? 2. What is your gender? 3. Do you
play a sport/Have a Job or not? 4. What is your GPA if you
Play a Sport and/or Have a Job or not? 5. What is your gender
based on if you Play a Sport and/or Have a Job or not? 6.
What is your gender and GPA if you Play a Sport/Have a Job
or not? 7. What is the average GPA? 8. How many hours do
you spend doing homework a week? 9. How many hours do
you spend Playing a Sport and/or Having a Job a week? The
tool our group used to collect the date was Google Docs
Form. We then used Microsoft Excel to organize and graph
the data that was given to us from our survey. The amount of
responses we received from the survey was 127.
Survey Questions
What grade are you in?

respondents to answer some general
demographic questions. When asking
the respondents what grade they are in,

Our next table of our survey, we asked respondents to answer some general demographic
questions. When asking the respondents how many hours they spend doing homework,
they were able to put in their own, desired number. There was a total of 127 respondents
that took the survey. In the table, there were five different topics covered, which were
average, mode, median, minimum, and maximum. The average hours of homework the
male and female respondents did averaged out to 10.53 hours. The mode of the male and
female respondents who did homework was 6 hours. The median of the male and female
respondents who did homework was 8 hours. The minimum of the male and female
respondents who did homework was 1 hour. Finally, the maximum of the male and female
respondents who did homework was 45 hours a week. The overall result of the table
shows that the range of hours of homework the male and female respondents did was
from 1 hour to 45 hours, concluding that the average number of hours the male and
female respondents did homework was 10.53 hours a week.
How many hours do you spend
playing a sport and/or having a job
a week?
In our final table of our survey, we asked respondents to answer some general demographic
questions. When asking the respondents how many hours they spend playing a sport and/or
having a job, they were able to put in their own, desired number. There was a total of 127
respondents that took the survey. In the table, there were five different topics covered, which
were average, mode, median, minimum, and maximum. The average hours of having a job
and/or playing a sport the male and female respondents did averaged out to 14.53 hours. The
mode of the male and female respondents who played a sport and/or had a job was 0 hours.
The median of the male and female respondents who had a job and/or played a sport was 14
hours. The minimum of the male and female respondents who had a job and/or played a sport
was 0 hours. Finally, the maximum of the male and female respondents who had a job and/or

Conclusion
In conclusion from this survey we observed
that out of male and females most students
play sports/ work more often then they do
doing homework. The overall average GPA was
found to be 3.22. We found that students who
aren't overwhelmed with jobs and sports
typically do better by about 30%. Males who
responded to not play sports or work have the
highest result as far as GPA. Students work is
directly negatively affected by the amount of
time on other activity's such as work or sports.
