Vegetarianism is No

Good

GMOs
-GENETICALLY MODIFIED ORGANISMS (GMO) ARE, ORGANISMS THAT HAVE
BEEN TINKERED WITH ON THE MOST FUNDAMENTAL LEVELTHEIR DNA
(HIRSCH).
-THIS MEANS THEY TAKE OUT CERTAIN PARTS OF ONE ORGANISMS
PHYSICAL MAKEUP AND REPLACE IT WITH ANOTHER ORGANISMS.
- They are in 60%-70% of food consumed by humans.
-Many have animal genes incorporated to make the plants more desirable.
-When they are sold, they dont even have to be labelled so people dont
know what they are consuming.
-Everyone, even vegetarians, are eating animals
This is the increase in GMOs of the years- constantly growing.
Social Health
When someone becomes a vegetarian, not only the life of the vegetarian
changes, but the lives of everyone the vegetarian is around changes too.
-ex) parents, coworkers, friends, significant others, family, etc.
Vegetarians even agree the hardest part of going green is transforming your
social life
You cant eat out with friends anymore because you cant go to certain
restaurants.
You cant bond over as many meals with your significant other anymore, this
could be detrimental to a relationship
You cant eat the same holiday meals youre used to, so your family might
look at you differently
People might think you are judging them for their eating habits therefore
distance themselves from you.
All of these things hurt the relationships you have with everyone in your life-
so is the green route even worth all that?
Physical Health
-Many people think it is healthier to be a vegetarian
-wrong!!
-There was a case study done to see if being a lifelong vegetarian
reduced the risk of breast cancer. They found it actually increased it.
-Without meat in the diet, there is not the proper amounts of protein or
fat for one to live a normal life, this leads to iron deficiency.
- iron deficiency results in paleness, stomach problems, constant
headaches, constant minor infections, and extreme fatigue.
The proteins in meat also have more calories so you get fuller faster
and stay fuller. Many vegetarians are constantly hungry.
Meat really does wonders for the body and people have been
consuming it since day one. There is no need to stop now.
This shows all the nutrients that meat has that vegetarians are not
consuming.
Conclusion
People think there needs to be more vegetarians- they are wrong.
Most of the vegetarians nowadays eat animal parts in their vegetables
The social part hurts all relationships with everyone around the
vegetarian
Without meat people are not getting the protein and fats they need in
their everyday diet- causing fatigue and multiple other problems that
would be solved by eating something they technically already do-
animals.
