Board of Trustees at Emmanuel has 26 members


Members include The University President Alumni, and Prominent members of the
Business and Healthcare community.

The University President sits on the board


but does not hold a vote.

The Board is responsible for articulating


general educational policy and academic goals.

The Board of Trustees recently elected


Margaret Mckenna, class of 83, as the new Chair Person.

Distinct Features of Private Institutions
(Emmanuel)

Private institutions, unlike public higher education, do not receive


state funding, thus they need to gain funding through other outlets
$38,584 undergraduate tuition

The President of Emmanuel College is able to sit on the Board of


Trustees, as they are not state funded and do not have to adhere
to all of the same standards as state funded institutions

Those with religious affiliation are able to serve on the Board of


Trustees due to the fact that private institutions are not state
funded
