PRODUCT DESIGN SPECIFICATION
Product Identification
- Standard bicycle design with two tires.
- Using electric motor.
- Have high capacity (maximum 100kg). Can withstand human weight up to 100kg.

Special Features
-Use a treadmill concept with the help of gears ratio attach from the treadmill to the rear tire.
- A treadmill is a device generally for walking or running while staying in the same place.
-This scooter was designed for human transportation over short distances. The treadmill on this
scooter functions as the speed enhancer. The main power train for this scooter is still the electric
motor. This treadmill will support the electric motor and increase the speed when it is needed.
- The advantages are that this scooter can reach higher velocity and also higher acceleration compare
to normal electric scooter.
-This scooter is quite easy to design because it used the design of standard bicycle.
-The design may help human for travelling in short distances and still can do a little exercise while
using the treadmill.
- Can help reduce the fact that Malaysias obesity rate is highest in Asia.

Basic Electrical Scooter

Sub-Function Choice Reason

Material Aluminium Lightweight & durable

Chassis U-Shape Maximum capacity for part installation

No of Wheels 2 Bicycle standard, easier maneuver, quicker

acceleration & more speed
Braking System Drum Break Cheaper & take less hydraulic force to activate

Drive Chain High transmission efficiency & high speed ratio

Power Drain Brushless Motors Long life span, little maintenance & high efficiency

Batteries Lead Acid Least expensive to replace

Design Concept 2

Foldable Electric Scooter

Sub-Function Choice Reason

Material Aluminium Lightweight & durable

Chassis Foldable Can be transported everywhere

No of Wheels 2 Easier maneuver, quicker acceleration & more speed

Braking System Drum Break Cheaper & take less hydraulic force to activate

Drive Chain High transmission efficiency & high speed ratio

Power Drain Brushless Motors Long life span, little maintenance & high efficiency

Batteries Lead Acid Least expensive to replace

Design Concept 3

Treadmill Electric Scooter

Sub-Function Choice Reason

Material Aluminium Lightweight

Chassis Treadmill

No of Wheels 2 Operation like bicycle

Braking System V-Break Same performance as bicycle braking system

Drive Chain Can withstand abrasive conditions and operate in wet

conditions
Power Drain Brushed Motors Less expensive & easy to operate

Batteries Lithium Ion Lighter & last about 800 full charge cycles before it
needs to be replaced.
