Zulfiqar Ali

Bhutto
Born on Jan 5, 1928

He was a Pakistani politician who was the founder of PPP

Served as President of Pakistan from 1971-1973 and PM from


1973-77
Born in an affluent family he became the youngest politician of
Pakistan

Also became youngest member of Pakistans delegation to the


United Nations

Later, he became a Minister in Ayub Khans government period

Helped Ayub Khan negotiate Indus Water Treaty in 1960


He became the foreign minister

Played a prominent role to assert a foreign policy independent of


US influence

He founded PPP in 1966


In 1970, his party won by majority in general elections in West
Pakistan

He was a lead person in launching Pakistan Nuclear Program

Was accused of corruption and unjustified use of power

He was in 1977 by Zia-ul-Haq and was executed later on April 4
