Planning for crisis - Human
behavioral seems to supersede many a
things, because human behavior
changes in individuals.
It must be coordinated with the need
situation by creating plans to be
supported .
Crisis planning requires a coordinated
effort to develop an individualized plan
for people or a group plan for
organizations.
PLANNING FOR CRISIS
A number of ideas must be put
into good use to build a useful
and useable crisis plan.
The ultimate goal for such need
is to design strategy to minimize
the possibility of a crisis situation
occurring or at minimum loss.
Many a number of steps are
necessary for the development of
such a plan.

Identifying Alternatives.
We had last seen the ASPECTS to be
considered in Planning for Crisis in our
last lesson.
Many aspects were seen needed, like-
skills of team,trainings,communications
,notification of deaths,,etc.
This lesson, alternatives need to be
addressed to build a reliable and
effective crisis team.
IDENTIFYING
ALTERNATIVE.
Identifying skills,the absence of
appropriate skills in individuals or
team ,in obtaining recognition from
others results in challenging behaviour.
Input your crisis team with very many a
skill,multiple skilled will improve your
teams performance during crisis.
Short term effects may lead to many a
long term effects,so you need to work
on individuals in your team carefully.

ALTERNATIVES
Select your team,taking into consideration
individuals interests, outdoors or in office.
More attention will be shown by your team
members if the skills are to their interest.
Staff attention and staff response can be
strengthened and can create a likelihood
of good response for a long term.
Replacement skills or alternative skills are
extremely important in crisis planning.

Alternative Transport,this is a
very important matter to be
discussed in crisis planning.
As a matter of fact,many a crisis
management team are caught
unaware of the requirement of
transport e.g.lorries,station wagons,
four wheel drive vehicles.
Trained drivers are to be included to
drive this vehicles.

Alternative medications and medical
necessaties.Medical needs are extremely of
great importance and in also subtitutes of
this life saving things.
Instead of medicine ,traditional medicines
are also in great demand and can be of use
in or during crisis provided,you have the
resources and at the same ,the specialist in
traditional.
It is of necessity it only need to be use as
temporary means.Other methods use
scouts ideas and old folks expertise.
IDENTIFYING ALTERNATIVE
Alternate Care Sites is something the team
should not neglect in crisis planning.
The organization need to identify the
alternative care site within the area of their
jurisdiction or an area as near as possible to
continue their activities.
It only should be moved at the request of the
commanding staff and with the approval of
the ERT(Emergency Response Team).It should
be moved to specified facilities as per
described in the crisis management plan.The
facility itself should be in workable condition.

Alternative Utilities ,sources of
utilities should be made available,
during crisis, affecting the organization .
Utilities are a very important factor
during a time of crisis. It will be a source
of energy and needs for you
team(ERT),staffs,management
personals, common people and all other
human lives who are dependent on
utilities.
WHAT ARE UTILITIES?,Name it.

Alternative Communication system is a
vital factor during crisis.Communication is a
means of despersing information to /from
crisis area.
First,the team should create a Back Up
System ,a second or third spokesman ,
more than one knowledgeable person to
communicate with , during crisis.
Communicating devises should be in many
types,alternate usage of communicating
devises prevents time wasting and plan
destruption during crisis.

ALTERNATIVES
Alternative Funding,is very much a
necessity for team survival and also some
allowances to team members whom the
committee feels deem to receive.
Sources of funding during crisis planning
,can be from other crisis management
teams in the industrial area,unaffected
organizations,government agencies.etc.
Create a funding source with neighbouring
crisis teams,meant for crisis times.

Identifying AlternativePreventive
Controls,all efforts which are
measured to reduce the effects of your
organizations IT controls system
distruptions.
These measures can increase systems
availability and reduces contingency
life costs.
Savings of organizations datas and
records in an alternate system and
place.
