About Stem Cells
Stem cells are undifferentiated biological cells, that can
change into specialized cells and divide to produce
more stem cells.
This means that stem cells can be turned into anything
(any living cell) with proper handling.
Stem cells can regenerate and still have the specialized
trait.
 Process
1) A sperm and egg meet.
2) A morula forms.
3) That morula changes into a blastocyst from
which pluripotent cells (Stem Cells) are found.
4) Collect pluripotent cells and change them
to the desired cell.
(Pluripotent means cells can differentiate into nearly all cells.)

How has this process been used?
The medical field has used this knowledge
to help treat patients for cancer,
diseases, and disorders. Chemistry will
help these doctors and researchers fully
comprehend and use stem cells to the
worlds advantage.

Controversies
TUMORS: Some stem cells form
tumors when implanted in body.
IMMUNE REJECTION: The human body attacks cells from
exterior sources that it doesnt create, so this could
cause problems.
PLURIPOTENCY: Since stem cells can practically change
into anything, this makes it difficult to pinpoint and
obtain the exact cell type needed.
