    Fish hook drilling is an unconventional drilling method where the well is drilled beyond 90 degrees to access difficult to reach oil and gas pockets.     In all, 28 fishhook wells were drilled, each with a 110-

    140 tangent section.

    While the first well cost $30 million, current costs have fallen

    to between $7 million and $8 million per well.

    Recognized as finalists for the Excellence in Project

    Integration Award, bestowed at the 2011 International

    Petroleum Technology Conference (IPTC), 7-9 February

    2012 in Bangkok.
