Prime- Second-Third
INTERVALS
It is the distance in pitch between two notes. The name of
each interval indicates the number of steps included
between the root and top notes.
The quality of the interval can be;
(i) Perfect
(ii) Major or Minor
Second and Third
Second Interval- Includes two consecutive steps/ notes
Major Second- 1Tone
Minor Second- Tone
Third interval- Include three Consecutive Steps/ notes
Major Third- 2 Tones
Minor Third- 1 Tones
Perfect Intervals
Perfect Fourth- Includes 4 consecutive steps/ notes
2 Tones

Perfect Fifth- Includes 5 consecutive steps/ notes
