GENERAL RULES
G en eral R u les
1. Each pupil/student will be
provided a white board and a
white board marker. The answer
has to be written legibly on the
white board. The answer must be
written in correct
spelling.

2. Before a question is read, the
contestants must raise their markers.
3. There are three groups of questions:
ten questions each for the Easy (1
pt.), Average (2 pts.), and
Difficult (3 pts.).

4. There is no deduction for wrong answers.
However, a three-point deduction will be
meted to the pupil/student as penalty for:
Display of actions that could show
disrespect to other contestants or to any
faculty/staff.
Writing answers before the Quizmaster
says GO.
Obtaining answers from the Adviser or the
audience.

5. Questions will be read twice by
the Quizmaster. The Quizmaster
will then say GO. Only then will
the contestants be allowed to
write their answer. The timer will
start when the Quizmaster says
GO.

6. The contestants are given ten
seconds to answer each question.
When the buzzer sounds, the
contestants must stop writing and
raise their answer boards.
7. The Quizmaster shall read aloud
and verify the contestants' answer.

8. The points obtained by each
pupil/student are tabulated. The
pupil/student with the highest
number of points at the end of the
Difficult Round will be proclaimed
First Place.
Second and Third Placers will also
be awarded.

9. If a tie ensues at first, second,
or third place, the contest
continues to the Clincher
Round. Question is assigned
five points. The pupil/student
who first gets fifteen point is
declared the winner.

10. The duly Adviser of the pupil/student
is the only person authorized
to raise any clarification. It will be
referred to Judge immediately before
the Quizmaster reads the next
question.
11. The Judges decision shall be final in
all clarifications and / or protests.
