ATTITUDE

RATING SCALE

An attitude scale is a special type of questionnaire
designed to produce scores indicating the intensity
and direction (for or against) of a persons feelings
about an object or event. Its a technique used for
measuring qualitative responses of respondents
such as those related to their feelings, perception,
likes, dislikes, interests and preferences.

The respondents rate the objects by placing a mark at the


appropriate position on a line that runs from one extreme of the
criterion variable to another.
