MODELS OF COMMUNICATION THE BASICS OF COMMUNICATIVE PROCESS
1. The SOURCE, has to ENCODE their thoughts into
SPOKEN LANGUAGE. The source has to ensure that the spoken language is UNDERSTOOD by the RECEIVER.
2. The spoken language which contains the MESSAGE is
now to be TRANSMITTED through a COMMUNCATION CHANNEL.
3. The COMMUNICATION CHANNEL
may be from person-to-person, assisted by a device, letters or public address. 4. After passing through the channel, the message is to be DECODED by the RECEIVER.
5. FEEDBACK is the response made
by the receiver after decoding the message. It SIGNALS the sender if the message he wants to be perceived is PROPERLY UNDERSTOOD or decoded. COMMUNICATION IS SAID TO HAVE TAKEN PLACE IF THE INFORMATION RECEIVED IS THE SAME AS THAT SENT.
