What is S.T.E.M. Education?

Acronym for Science, Technology, Engineering, and


Mathematics
STEM Education provides students innovative, project-based
learning experiences that integrate STEM skills through
problem-solving, group discovery, and exploratory learning.
Integration of science, technology, engineering, and math
across the curriculum
researching topics using good reliable resources and
drawing conclusions from research results.

S.T.E.M. SKIS developing a project plan and timeline

analyzing small parts of systems and seeing


relationships (recognizing cause and effect)

using mathematical skills for calculations and


measurement to perform job-related tasks

communication and cooperation skills to listen to


customer needs or interact with project partners

thinking creatively and developing new ideas

experimenting (the scientific method)

Identifying the source of a problem and solving


problems

repair a machine or debug an operating system

computer capabilities to stay current on appropriate


software and equipment that help with job efficiency
