Solar Eclipse
What Is Solar Eclipse?
solar eclipse is a type of eclipse that occurs
when the Moon passes between the sun and
Earth, and the Moon fully or partially blocks
("occults") the Sun.
How does this fenomena can be
happen?
A solar eclipse occurs when the moon gets
between Earth and the sun, and the moon
casts a shadow over Earth. A solar eclipse can
only take place at the phase of new moon,
when the moon passes directly between the
sun and Earth and its shadows fall upon
Earths surface.
Although the moon is smaller than the sun,
the shadow of the Moon can protect the light
of the sun entirely due to the Moon within an
average distance of 384 400 kilometers of the
Earth closer than the Sun which have an
average distance of 149 680 000 kilometers.
When Solar Eclipse Occurs?
Solar Eclips occurs in the afternoon.
But, solar eclipse do not take place every
month because the orbits of the Moon and
Earth are tilted at an angle. Most of the time,
the line- up is not precise enough for an
eclipse.
