importance of peace.

WHAT IS PEACE?

The Hebrew word “shalom”

-used as a Jewish Greeting and farewell
Shalom is translated by the Greek word
“eirene”

THREE ASPECTS OF PEACE

I. PEACE WITH GOD

II. PEACE OF GOD
III. PEACE WITH OTHERS

6
PEACE WITH GOD
Rom 5:1
Therefore, since we have been justified
through faith, we have peace with God
through our Lord Jesus Christ

The basis of our our peace with God is our

justification by Faith in Jesus Christ

7
PEACE WITH GOD
Isaiah 57:21
There is no peace, says my God, for the
wicked.

The only real peace is peace with God

which brings peace to all those who are at
peace with the Father

8
PEACE WITH GOD
Questions:
Do you have peace with God?
Have you surrendered your life to Him
completely?
If not, would you like to do that today?

9
PEACE OF GOD
The happiness of the individual begins with
peace in the heart
Many a Christian never experiences the
peace of God because the environment of
their heart and mind is in conflict with the
world
The peace of God is calmness of the mind
and heart,

10
PEACE OF GOD
John 16:33
I have told you these things, so that in
me you may have peace. In this world
you will have trouble. But take heart! I
have overcome the world

Jesus assured of peace with a promises:

a.We will have trouble in the world
b.Jesus overcome the world 11
PEACE WITH OTHERS
A peacemaker is one who establishes
peace, especially by settling disagreement
The word “peacemaker” implies the
reality of conflict in this world
The word “peacemaker” implies the
certainty of solutions

12
PEACE WITH OTHERS
Matthew 5:9
“Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will
be called sons of God.”

Romans 14:19
Let us therefore make every effort to do
what leads to peace and to mutual
edification
13
PEACE WITH OTHERS
Practical steps
1. Remember we are fellow members of one body
2. We must keep in mind that it Christ’s body of
which we are members
3. We must recognize the cause of disagreement
often lies wholly or partly with us.
4. We must take the initiative to restore peace.

14
Closing
Peace that Jesus gives is not the absence of
trouble, but is rather the confidence that
He is there with you always

It's not the absence or presence of problems
that determines one's peace of life; it's the
absence or presence of God.
