About NIM CI campus
Parent Institute was set up in early 80s known as NIM NI campus
Consistently ranked in the top 15 business schools in India
In 2004, second campus was established in central India known to
NIM CI campus
Located in tier II city, 35 KM outside the town
The location was considered to be serious challenges posing
challenges like lack of Industry interaction and campus recruitment
opportunities
Faculties view
Unit based work measurement system is considered to be the best
and transparent performance management system by faculties
It allowed them to plan various activities for the entire year
It removes the uncertainty associated with variable pay
It is one of the major motivation among faculties to work at NIM-CI
Faculties oppose the proposed change in work measurement system
concerning it would affect their incentives
Faculties also cited that given the locational disadvantages, the old
system is only reason to stay in campus
Directors view
Minimum work load specified was too low
Director also question the creditability of certain points earned
He also points out the discrepancy that exist between two campus for
the same system
